16 Troubleshooting

The multimeter was designed using the latest technology and is safe to use. How-
ever, problems and malfunctions may still occur.
This section tells you how to troubleshoot possible faults:
Always observe the safety information in these instructions.
Problem
The multimeter does not
work.
The measured value
does not change.
The multimeter cannot
take measurements in
the 10 A range.
The multimeter cannot
take measurements in
the mA/µA range.
Any repair work other than that described above must be carried out by
an authorized technician. If you have questions about the multimeter,
please contact our technical support team.

Possible cause
Is the battery empty?
Have you selected the
wrong measurement
mode (AC/DC)?
Did you use the wrong
terminals?
Is the hold function
enabled?
Is the fuse in the 10 A
input defective?
The F2 fuse has blown.
Suggested solution
Check the battery level
and replace if necessary.
Check the display (AC/
DC) and select another
mode if necessary.
Check that the test leads
are connected to the cor-
rect terminals.
Disable the hold function.
Check the 10A F1 fuse.
Replace the blown F2
fuse
