Setting the switch-off delay
Your extractor hood is equipped with a switch-
off delay that allows you to set the device so
that it switches off automatically after a selec-
table time (after 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 or 40
minutes).
1. Set the fan to the required level as descri-
bed above.
2. Touch the timer sensor (13).
The sensor lighting is flashing.
3. Touch the slider (15) on the bar that cor-
responds to the desired switch-off delay

the display. The appliance switches off
automatically after the delay time has
elapsed.
Activated charcoal filter
• When using the appliance for air circula-
tion, only do so with activated charcoal
filters inserted.
• If neighbours complain about odours, it
may be a good idea to insert activated ch-
arcoal filters for exhaust air operation, too.
• For the source of supply, please see chap-
ter „Service Centre" on page EN-22.
• To insert see „Inserting/replacing activated
charcoal filters" on page EN-19.

Tips on saving energy
– Only switch on the fan when needed; other-
wise, energy will be wasted.
– Let the fan run as long as cooking fumes
or steam are present.
– The fan is not needed when cooking only
briefly or warming up foods that have litt-
le or no odour.
– Ensure that there is enough supply air;
otherwise, the exhaust hood may not functi-
on optimally. If necessary, open the window
or kitchen door.
– Clean the grease filter (20) regularly.
