ATTENTION:
the length of the lanyard between LORY and the full body harness should always be selected as short as
possible, however, including the energy absorber it must never exceed 0.5 m!!!
6.1
Use as a descender and positioning device (rope adjustment device)
The rope adjustment device must be held above the
attachment point of the user belt under continuously
maintained tension of the rope. An additional safeguard must
be provided by a second independent securing system (e.g.
EN353-2 or EN12841 A).
Rope sheath, surface
diameter and the state of use of the rope must be observed.
These aspects can significantly influence
abseiling
performance.
repeated, consecutive abseiling procedures on the same
position of the working line can affect the function.
LORY as a descender and
positioning device (rope adjustment device according to EN12841C) is not part of a fall arrest system.
Excess load or high dynamical load can damage the used lanyards and require the termination of the activities (eventually
external help may be necessary)
