LORY safety system for industrial use

The use as a safety device for industrial applications is only possible in the following con- figuration:
tape fall absorber on the rope and rope type Dynamic 12 mm!
Anchor the safety device LORY with the karabiner hook on the anchor eyelet on the
body harness of the person to be secured or
Otherwise with an STEP ( sharp-edge tolerant) tape sling onto the building
Control the lock safety device of the karabiner!
Anchor the free end of the rope - with sewn-in tape fall-absorber - with the karabiner
to the fall arrester eyelet of the leader's body harness. Control the lock safety device
of the karabiner!
The securing person holds the safety device LORY in one hand, releases the brake
cam and lays out the rope carefully, avoiding slack rope. Even too strong rope
tension has to
Be avoided. Risk oft the leader falling!
The leader shall place a SETP sling at determined intervals - starting from below at
2 m, 4 m, 6 m, then every 4 m - on the building as intermediate securing point.
After having reached the destination, the leader secures himself to the building with
a fall-absorber lanyard, e.g. work positioning rope LORY 02 and hooks the leading
safety
Rope into a sufficiently strong anchor point ( EN795)
The safety rope - only possible in the version dynamic rope 12 mm - can now be
used as an anchor rope for a guided type fall arrester (rope compatibility given with
ROP-
STOP 3) for following climbers.
For this observe the corresponding instructions for use of the utilized devices!
Descending is carried out in reverse order.
ATTENTION!
Danger to life: the leading technique may only be used by
especially trained and instructed persons, who are familiar with special rescue
methods.
BORNACK offers special courses for this.
