Troubleshooting
In radio operation hardly any stations can be received:
• The aerial is not pulled out completely. Pull out the aerial to its full length.
• The aerial connection has come loose. Remove the SD tuner and check the connection.
• The aerial is defective. Check the connection, earthing and the aerial itself.
Interferences in radio and USB / memory card operation:
• Interferences reach the SD tuner via the positive line. Install an additional interference suppression coil into the
positive line.
• If necessary, also equip the vehicle with spark-plug suppressor sockets, distributor arms, etc. to suppress
interferences.
• Bad ground connection. Check ground connection, use other grounding point if required.
When you press a station button, you only hear hissing:
• No station has been programmed. Program the stations as described above.
The device no longer responds to button commands or displays weird characters:
• Reset the device with the RESET (7) button.
The Bluetooth® audio transmission does not work:
• The connected device does not support the Bluetooth®A2DP audio transmission.
• The device is not connected to the SD tuner. Perform pairing.
The transmission quality in hands-free operation is bad:
• The distance between microphone and vehicle speakers is too low.
• The microphone is located in the air stream of sliding roof, open window, ventilation, etc.
• The distance between speaker and microphone is too large.
Repairs other than those described above must only be carried out by an authorised specialist.
