4.5 Replacement of the disposable liner "OneWay"

1. Switch off the ASSKEA secretion aspirator M- or S-series by set-
ting the power switch (fig. 1(F), fig. 2(F)) to "O" or press and hold
the button for 2 seconds to switch off the ASSKEA M30
2. Separate the suction tube (Abb. 1.2 (G)) from the patient connec-
tion (Abb. 13(B)).
3. Separate the pre-assembled connecting tube of the disposable
liner "OneWay" at the bottom end of the T-piece of the external
canister "Bag".
4. Remove the disposable liner "OneWay" from the reusable exter-
nal canister "Bag".
5. Dispose of the disposable liner "OneWay" in a proper manner
(see section 7.3).
6. Insert a new disposable liner "OneWay" in the reusable exter-
nal canister "Bag" as specified in section 4.2.2. Ensure that the
connecting tube as well as the lid of the disposable liner are
properly seated on the external canister.
7. Attach the new suction tube to the patient connection of the
disposable liner "OneWay".
8. Switch on the ASSKEA secretion aspirator M- or S-series.

4.6 Decommissioning

Observe the notes on health risks associated with handling
infectious agents or pathogens in section 5.

1. Switch off the device after the aspiration by setting the power
switch (fig. 1(F), fig. 2(F)) to "O" or press and hold the button for 2
seconds to switch off the ASSKEA M30
2. Disconnect the power supply unit or the mains cable from the
mains supply (100 V to 240 V AC) and then disconnect the device
plug from the aspiration device.
3. Remove the suction tube (figs. 1(I), 2(J)) from the aspiration cathe-
ter and from the secretion canister and clean (see section 5.1.6 or
5.2.6) or dispose it of (see section 7.3) properly.
4. Remove the disposable liner "OneWay" as described in secti-
on 4.5 up to and including point 5. Then remove the external
canister "Bag" from the belonging holder. Pull the holder for
the external canister "Bag" off the guide rails on the device and
follow the instructions for cleaning the external canister "Bag" in
section 5.1.5 or 5.2.5.
If you are using the reusable secretion canister system, pull the
reusable secretion canister off the guide rails on the device and
then follow the instructions for cleaning or disposing of the
components of the reusable secretion canister system described
in section 5.1.3 or 5.2.3 and 5.1.4 or 5.2.4.
5. Clean the surface of the device according to section 5.1.2 or 5.2.2.
6. Store the device in the shipping carton until next use.
