4 Operation

4.4.3 Setting the vacuum

1. Set the power switch (fig. 2(F)) to "I" on the ASSKEA M20 or briefly
press the button on the ASSKEA M30

2. Keep the opening of the suction tube (fig. 20) and of the fingertip
(fig. 21) shut.
3. Turn the vacuum regulator (fig. 2(E)) until the vacuum meter (fig.
2(D)) displays the desired vacuum. Please note that higher vacu-
um values are set by turning the vacuum regulator clockwise and
that the indicator of the manometer moves counter clockwise at
the same time.

4. You can also perform fine adjustments to the set vacuum using
the additional air opening on the fingertip.

4.4.4 Carrying out the aspiration

1. Perform the aspiration procedure as you were instructed by spe-
cialized personnel.
2. Control the aspiration procedure and the desired vacuum using
the additional air opening on the fingertip (fig. 21).
3. Shut down the device after the aspiration procedure according to
section 4.6.
Please note that the pump can not be started beyond an exis-
ting vacuum of 0.5 bar when switching the device on again.
Ensure that the battery has a sufficient capacity during the
aspiration procedure. The battery status display must signal
green or yellow. If the display turns red, the external power
supply unit must be plugged in immediately. In this case, aspi-
ration can continue without interruption.
