5.3.1 General information
Health risks or damage to the device when handling
disinfectants
If you have the opportunity to use disinfectants, please obser-
ve the information in section 5.2. Otherwise please follow the
instructions in sections 5.3.2 through 5.3.7!
5.3.2 Cleaning the surface of the device
All devices can be wiped with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Repeated cleaning procedures with disinfectants may result in minor
discolorations of the plastic housing components. However these do
not affect the functioning of the device.
5.3.3 Thermal cleaning of the reusable secretion canister

Empty the reusable secretion canister and dispose of the aspirate
in a proper manner.

Rinse all components of the reusable secretion canister under
running water and let them dry.
It is also possible to place all components of the reusable secretion
canister into a water bath at 65 °C for 15 minutes for thermal cleaning.
ASSKEA GmbH recommends replacing the reusable secretion canister
after 30 thermal cleanings or in the case of visible damage or functio-
nal restrictions.
