4 Operation

4.2.1 Connecting the reusable secretion canister system

1. Screw the lid onto the secretion canister sufficiently tight and at-
tach the canister to the device by pushing it onto the lateral guide
on the device / housing (see Fig. 9).
2. Insert the connecting tube with the blue elbow fitting toward the
device side onto the tube nozzle on the device. Make sure that the
side of the external bacterial filter with the lettering "Patient" is
facing the canister (directed toward patient)!

3. Plug the grey elbow adapter of the connecting tube into the
connection in the center of the lid (above the overflow protection).

4. Plug the suction tube onto the tube nozzle (patient connection).
Ensure that the tube is fixed sufficiently tight.

The reusable secretion canister or the holder for the external canister
"Bag" is attached by directly pushing it onto the guide rails on the
housing of the device (figs. 8, 9).
