Once a year, check the tension of the V-belt from the main motor to
the turn table. Access to the V-belt is made by removing the large
rear top sheet. When correctly adjusted, a pressure of 15 N in the
middle of the V-belt causes the V-belt to move approx. 8 mm. The V-
belt is tightened by pushing the motor plate backwards in its track
after having loosened it.
The compressed air filter must be cleaned approximately once a
year - depending on the quality of the compressed air.
Further, the water separator - which is combined with the filter -
should be emptied approximately once a month, depending on the
water contents of the air, so that the water does not reach up to the
filter. It is not necessary to remove the rear top sheet, just press
carefully on the knob at the bottom of the water separator glass. The
knob is accessible from the bottom side of the machine.
All ball bearings are sealed and, therefore, require no servicing. The
spindle which moves in the cast-iron console is the only part which
needs grease.
Lubrication of the spindle is effected through a grease hole behind
the front plate. Remove the front plate and press the grease in with a
grease gun. Old grease should first be wiped off. Repeat the
procedure with the spindle in bottom position.
