Instruction Manual
Adjustment is carried out on throttle valve V3 which is screwed into
the magnetic valve Y1's outlet gate. This can be done with a
screwdriver through the hole in the left side of the machine
(fig. 3.). To reduce the speed, turn right.
It is only possible to make a slight, fine adjustment of the up-speed
as the speed is preadjusted by means of a throttle bush which is
inserted in the compressed air tube leading to Y1.
The fine adjustment is made on the V4 throttle valve with a
screwdriver through the hole in the left side of the machine
(fig. 3.).
In order to avoid vibration when grinding, the cast-iron console is
equipped with four adjustment screws which ensure that the console
is wobble-free on the horizontal traverse. These screws can be
adjusted with a 2.5 mm Allen key without first having to remove the
large front cover. Two of the screws are in the cast-iron, in front at
the lowest part of the horizontal traverse and the other two are on the
top on the reverse side. The screws should be tightened in such a
way that it is still possible to move the spindle sideways with the
handwheel.
The quick-coupling needs no adjustment. It is screwed on the shaft
and is secured with loctite 222 (fig. 4). In order to remove the
coupling do as follows:
Block the shaft by placing a pin through the hole in the spindle pipe
(4.) and the shaft (4.)
Loosen the coupling with a wrench on the coupling-shaft (4.)
The thread should be re-sealed with loctite when replacing the
coupling. Worn parts should always be replaced.
