CHANGING THE TEMPERATURE UNIT

On delivery, the temperature is displayed in °C (Celsius). If required, you may togg-
le the unit of temperature to °F (Fahrenheit) and back. The appliance will keep your
selection—even after unplugging the appliance.
With the appliance in standby mode (display shows "00:00"), hold your finger
approx. 4 seconds on the "Time/Temp" button until a signal sounds and "FC" ist dis-
played. Thereafter, when starting operation and touching the "Time/Temp" button, the
temperature will be shown in the other temperature unit.

SOLVING PROBLEMS

If any problems occur during operation, you will find the solution in the following
table.

The Solution
Switch the on/off switch at the rear to "I". "00:00" is
shown on the display, when the appliance is in standby
mode and ready for operation.
Ensure that the appliance is connected to a suitable wall
power outlet (see: 'Important Safeguards for Electrical
Appliances'). Ensure that the wall power outlet is live by
connecting a lamp.
Unplug the appliance. Get in contact with an authorised
service centre for examination and repair.
Start operation via the "Start/Stop" button. The display
shows the pre-set dehydrating time and the fan operates
audibly.
Touch the other adjusting button (see: 'Technical Speci-
fications').
Ensure that the door is closed correctly again, after each
manipulation in the dehydration chamber.
Separate the individual pieces of food. The air circulation
within the dehydration chamber may not be blocked. If
required, take out some food and separate your food to
smaller portions.
Give the dehydration process some more time. Wipe off
any liquid that dripped onto the base of the dehydration
chamber. Dab dry very juicy food, before dehydration.
Cut your food to smaller and thinner stripes and slices.
If the thickness of the pieces exceeds 2-2.5 cm (1 inch),
leave the shelf above a loaded food tray empty.
Select a sufficiently higher dehydrating temperature (see:
'Operation'). Ensure that the room temperature is between
15°C and 25°C.
