• Always handle power cords with care. The power cord may never
touch hot surfaces, sharp edges, or any moving parts. Do not let the
plug or power cord hang over the edge of the table or counter. Ensu-
re that no one will pull the appliance by the power cord. Power cords
may never be knotted, twisted, pulled, strained or squeezed. Always
grasp the plug to disconnect the power cord. Do not touch the appli-
ance or power plug with wet hands with the appliance connected to
the power supply.
• Do not place or immerse the housing or power cord in water or any
other liquid. DO NOT spill or drip any liquids on the housing or the
power cord to avoid risk of fire and electric shock. When parts of
the appliance are leaking during operation and/or liquids accumu-
late under the housing or run down on the exterior of the housing,
immediately unplug the appliance. Refer to the instructions in chapter
'Solving Problems'.

operation via the steam vents. Do not hold your face or other parts of
your body over or directly near the appliance during operation and
while the appliance is still hot to avoid scalds due to steam. Especial-
ly, beware of hot steam and condensate, when removing the cover
and the egg tray.
• Even the exterior of the top parts of the appliance may be very hot
during operation and some time thereafter. Only touch the the egg tray
