Hydraulic connection

The installation of a domestic hot water recirculation
system is forbidden. In case of malfunction of the
appliance with a domestic hot water recirculation
system, the warranty will not apply.
It is recommended to read the warnings at the beginning of the document.
The cold water inlet is marked with a blue border and the hot water outlet with a red border. They have a pipe thread
diameter of 20/27 (3/4").
For regions with water having a high mineral content (Water hardness - Th>20°f), water treatment is recommended.
With a water softener, the hardness of the water must remain above 15°f. The water softener does not give rise to a
waiver of our warranty, provided that it is approved for France and set in accordance with good engineering practices,
checked and maintained regularly.
Water hardness criteria must comply with the specifications of DTU 60.1 regulation.
5.1.

Cold water connection

Before proceeding with the water connection, make sure the main water lines are clean.
As part of the installation, a new safety unit rated at 0.7 MPa (7 bar) (not supplied) must be used, having the NF
(standard NF EN 1487) label which will be directly connected to the cold water inlet of the water heater.
Since some water can flow out of the discharge pipe
of the pressure reducing device, the discharge pipe
must be kept in the open air. Whatever the type of
installation, it must include a shut-off valve on the
cold water supply, upstream of the safety unit.
The safety unit must drain directly with no
obstruction into the wastewater system via a siphon.
It must be installed in a frost-free environment. The
safety unit must be operated regularly (once or twice
a month).
The installation must have a pressure reducing
device if the water supply pressure is greater than
0.5 MPa (5 bar). The pressure reducing device must
be installed at the beginning of the general water
supply (upstream of the safety unit). A pressure of
0.3 to 0.4 MPa (3 to 4 bar) is recommended.
