2.3.2 Sensor connection

The TMD 834 transmitter accepts a wide variety of input sensors, selected via
software by the user:
• RTDs: Pt100, Pt1000 according to IEC 751 and Ni100 according to DIN 43760
• Ohm: two different ranges are available 0 to 400 ohm and 0 to 4000 ohm
• Thermocouples: B,E,J,K,N,R,S,T according to IEC 854
L and U according to DIN 43760
C and D according to ASTM E988
F and G
• mV: range -10 to 80 mV.
For RTD and Ohm input, the 2, 3, or 4 wire connection options are supported.
The two wire RTD connection can be compensated via software.
An offset can be added to the temperature measurement which allows the user to
compensate temperature difference when the sensor cannot be installed exactly
where it is required.The offset value can also be used to compensate RTD or
thermocouple drift due to the sensor aging.
