4 Operation with Commuwin II
The on site configuration is not allowed for the TMD 834. The complete sensing point
configuration must be made remotely, i.e. with Commuwin II.
The TMD 834 NV memory retains the information on loss of power.
PROFIBUS-PA devices can be operated with Commuwin II operating program
versions from 1.5 upwards. A full description of the Commuwin II is to be found in
operating instructions BA 124F. The transmitter is configured either via operating
matrix (see figure) or the graphic interface.
Operation with Commuwin II requires the installation of the PROFIBUS-PA server and
the personal computer requires a PROFIBUS-DP interface (Proficard or Profiboard).
• The connection in Commuwin II is made via the PROFIBUS-PA server.
• All devices on the relevant segment appear in the live list.
• The settings are entered in the device menu.
• PROFIBUS-PA profile parameters can be viewed and set under the graphic
interface.
