2 Installation

The ambient temperature at the sensor housing may not exceed + 85°C (+ 80°C for
TA 20 F housing).
For EEx applications, specific limit must be observed, according to certificate and
approvals indications.
2.1 Housing
Endress+Hauser offers a full range of elements, heads and thermowells to provide
complete assemblies for process temperature measurements.
The TMD 834 can be installed in standard Endress+Hauser terminal heads TA 20 D,
TA 20 E, and in EEx-d thermometer heads (e.g. TST 262 - TST 264 - TSC 262-
TSC 264 ).
The TMD 834 is usually built in the thermometer head at the factory.
If this is not the case, more installation hints, if required, are available in terminal head
specific instructions.
