Operating Instructions SATA FDG
■ Push the agitator shaft with the lower half of the coupling [18‑4] up out
of the holder [18‑21].
■ Loosen the grub screw in the lower half of the coupling.
■ Pull the lower half of the coupling from the agitator shaft.

■ Remove the washer [18‑5].
■ Unscrew the gland [18‑8].
■ Remove the O-ring [18‑7] from the gland.
■ Pull the agitator shaft down out of the hub.
■ Take the gland packing [18‑9] out of the hub.
■ Possibly drive the brass bushing [18‑22] up out of the hub.
Assembly:
Damage from unsuitable tools
Unsuitable tools can damage the brass bushing during assembly.
→ Insert the brass bushing carefully, using a special tool.
■ Possibly insert the brass bushing [18‑22] in the hub [18‑12].
■ Push the agitator shaft [18‑6] into the hub from below.
■ Insert the O-ring [18‑7] in the gland [18‑8].
■ Insert the agitator shaft in the hub.
■ Wind three graphite cords [18‑9] around the agitator shaft and press
into the hub.
■ Screw the gland in so that the agitator shaft can be turned by hand
without applying force.

■ Put the washer [18‑5] onto the agitator shaft.
■ Mount the lower half of the coupling [18‑4] on the agitator shaft.
■ Fix the lower half of the coupling on the agitator shaft with the grub
screw.
■ Push the agitator shaft with the lower half of the coupling into the holder
[18‑21] from below.
■ Push the collet [18‑18] with the washer [18‑20] onto the agitator shaft
up to the hub.
■ Tighten the grub screw [18‑19] in the collet.
