Manoeuvring the caravan

Before manoeuvring, release the parking brake and re-
move the chocks.
The "Off" switch on the remote control (Figure 2 - 4)
can also be used as an "emergency stop switch". In
case of problems, e.g. uncontrolled behaviour of the Mover,
press the "Off" switch immediately.
– Use the direction buttons (Figure 2 - 3/5/6/7/9) to move the
caravan in the required direction.
If you press opposite direction buttons simultaneously
(Figure 2 - 5/9 or 3/7), the caravan rotates around its own
axle in the respective direction.
– While moving (forward/backward), the driving direction
can be changed with the direction buttons (Figure 2 - 3/9
and 5/7).
When the buttons are released, or if the radio signal is inter-
rupted or becomes too weak, the caravan stops moving.
Radio equipment and other Mover remote controls will not
activate your Mover.
After starting up, the Mover moves at a uniform speed. Speed
increases slightly on downhill slopes and decreases on uphill
slopes.
System factors mean that the speed increases on slopes. You
can reduce the speed by stopping and restarting the caravan
several times.
– After manoeuvring, apply the parking brake first and/
or secure the caravan with chocks to prevent it from rolling
away, then deactivate the Mover.

Coupling the towing vehicle

The caravan must not be towed with the drive
rollers engaged.
The Mover allows a caravan to be coupled to a towing vehicle
with millimetre accuracy. However, this requires care and a
degree of practice.
Following the operating instructions, move the caravan close
to the towing vehicle (apply parking brake and engage gear).
In order to position the caravan precisely, use the direction
buttons of the remote control until the caravan's coupling is
directly above the ball coupling on the towing vehicle. Then
couple the caravan to the vehicle by lowering the jockey
wheel in the usual manner.
Then disengage the Mover smart. Make sure that the towing
vehicle cannot roll away.
Prepare the caravan for towing in the usual way.

Deactivating the Mover

Disengage the Mover smart A

– Press the button (Figure 7 - 2) on the remote control for
about 5 seconds and then release it. The drive roller disen-
gages. When the drive roller has completely disengaged it
again moves a few millimetres forward to take the load off
the mechanics. Wait until this has taken place. The display
(Figure 7 -1) flashes during this process.
When the remote control display stops flashing, the pro-
cess is complete and the remote control can send new
commands.
Do not switch the remote control off while the display is
flashing. Otherwise, when it is switched on again, the
disengaging process must be repeated until the Mover is
completely disengaged (the display of the remote control
stops flashing and the Mover is disengaged).

The Mover smart A can also be disengaged manually if
no electricity is available or a malfunction prevents auto-
matic disengagement.
Make sure the caravan cannot roll away!
– Disconnect the power supply for the Mover via the battery
cut-off switch.

– Remove the cover on the back of the Mover.
The Mover may only be disengaged manually. Other
aids, such as a cordless screwdriver, can damage the
Mover.
– Insert the socket spanner (size 7 mm) in the opening
(Figure 8 - 1) and turn it in an anti-clockwise direction
(Figure 8 - 2) until the Mover is completely disengaged.
– Do this on both tyres.
