3. Installation
3.4 Connecting an expansion vessel (provided by the customer)
Expansion vessel accommodate the changes in volume when heating or cooling the heat transfer fluid and retain a fluid
reserve to offset minor leakages. Only suitable and properly designed expansion vessel (see DIN 4807) are to be used. In
the event of relevant prevailing temperatures use any auxiliary vessels.
3.5 Heat transfer medium
Only use suitable and approved solar fluid with antifreeze (see DIN 4757), which
is suitable for solar systems! Note the manufacturer and type, because in some circumstances these cannot be mixed
with agents
from other manufacturers.
3.6 Backflow preventer
In the secondary circuit a backflow preventer is installed at delivery, which prevents uncontrolled circulation of the heating
medium and consequently counteracts any cooling of the tank.
Cracking pressure: 200 mm water column
When filling and flushing the system, note the direction of flow!
