Intended use

The opener is suitable for doors in accordance with EN 12604 or EN 13241 in consideration of the
operating forces and in compliance with the operating instructions.
Use this garage door opener exclusively
– for the automatic opening and closing of garage doors.
– in dry rooms.
– in a private area.
– according to the descriptions and safety instructions specified in these operating instructions.
Any other use is regarded as improper.

Important safety instructions

Warning!
To ensure personal safety, it is essential to follow these instructions:
– Keep these operating instructions in a safe place and if you sell your house give them to the
new owner. Before assembling the door opener, read this manual fully and follow the safety
instructions in particular.
– Carry out the work steps in the described sequence and familiarise yourself with the operation
of the door opener.
– Use only the enclosed or recommended fixing materials, original spare parts and accessories.
– After commissioning the garage door opener, show all users how the garage door opener
functions and operates.
– There is a risk of crushing and shearing along the closing edges and on the mechanism of the
garage door. Open and close the garage door only when you can see that there is no one within
the swivel range.
– Keep the handheld transmitter out of reach to prevent unintentional operation, e.g. by playing
children.
– Install the door opener on correctly aligned and counter-balanced garage doors only.
An incorrectly aligned door could cause injuries.
– Before working on the door or door opener, always pull out the mains plug.
– Replace a damaged mains cable immediately (by electrician only).
– Never touch a moving door or moving parts.

Information for wearers of pacemakers

The power of the handheld transmitter falls within the relevant standards and is quite safe. To exclude
a minor residual risk we recommend as a precaution that the handheld transmitter is not aimed directly
at the body. To ensure your own safety hold and aim the handheld transmitter with outstretched arm in
the direction of the garage door.

Safety devices

Safety devices prevent injury and damage to property.
Never disable or intentionally bypass safety devices.
Automatic obstacle detector
The garage door stops on approaching an obstacle during the door open movement.
On approaching an obstacle during the door close movement, the obstacle is released, the garage door
moves up to the upper mechanical end stop (reference point) and then back to the programmed upper
stop position.
• Conduct a performance test at least once a month (see "Switching on the garage door opener"
chapter).
