4.1 Selecting the Size
1) Measure the waist circumference approx. 2 cm above the iliac crest.
2) Determine the brace size (see size chart).
4.2 Adaptation
>
The patient is standing.
>
The clip closures on the thorax support are open.
>
The hook-and-loop closures on the abdominal strap are open.
>
The pull cable is fully loosened.
1) Center the back plate of the brace and hang the straps over the shoulders (see fig. 1).
2) Optional – adjusting the abdominal strap height: Adjust the height of the abdominal strap.
In order to do so, detach the Mechanical Advantage Pulley System from the hook-and-loop
fastener on the back plate and reposition it (see fig. 2).
INFORMATION: Ensure that the position of the hook-and-loop surface is the same on
both sides.
3) Optional – removing the side plates: Loosen the hook-and-loop closures, remove the side
plates and refasten the hook-and-loop closures.
4) Center the abdominal plate and close the abdominal strap (see fig. 3).
5) Pull out the spring button and adjust the height of the thorax support so the pads are posi­
tioned below the clavicle (see fig. 4).
6) Optional – adjusting the thorax support: Bend the rod of the thorax support to adjust it
(see fig. 5).
7) Fasten the clip closures and adjust the length of the straps (see fig. 6).
8) Optional – shortening the Y-hook-and-loop: Open the Y-hook-and-loop of the straps and
shorten the strap length (see fig. 7).
4.3 Application
CAUTION
Direct skin contact with the product
Skin irritation due to chafing or sweat formation
Do not wear this product directly on the skin.
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or exces­
sively tight application
Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
NOTICE
Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for possible wear or dam­
age.
Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is worn or damaged.

The patient is standing.
>
The clip closure on the thorax support and the hook-and-loop closure on the abdominal strap
are open on one side.
>
The pull cable is fully loosened.
1) Put on the brace from the open side.
