2. The VDO Ocean Line Combi
The VDO Ocean Line Combi is a combined speed and depth
measuring instrument and is destined for use in the field of leisure
boating.
The display instrument indicates the water depth on the analogue scale
when in operation. The boat speed, distance as well as other values
and operating instructions appear in the LC-Display.
A push-button, by means of which all functions can be selected, is
located on the face of the instrument. An external push-button may also
be connected. This may be necessary if the instrument is mounted in a
place that does not allow for operation directly at the instrument.
The instrument is easy and straightforward to handle. Alarms are
signalised optically in the LC-display as well as via the integrated
acoustic warner.
The indicator disposes of transmitter inputs for analogue and NMEA
VDO transmitters.
A CAN interface for communication with ancillary devices is also
available.
