When choosing the place of installation for the transmitter, take care not
to drill into any stringers. Also pay attention to furniture, floorboards,
storage crates, cables etc.
Solvent vapours may emerge when sealing the transmitter with sealing
compound. Provide for sufficient ventilation. Observe the processing
instructions of the sealing compound manufacturer.
Work that requires constant voltage may only be performed with
insulated tools.
The electrical connections of the display instrument and the cables
connected therewith must be protected against direct contact and
damage.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged, even if the device has
been disconnected from all supply points.
The applied cables must have sufficient insulation or electric strength
and the contact points must be contact-safe.
The electroconductive parts of the connected consumers must also be
protected against direct contact via appropriate measures. It is
impermissible to lay metallically shiny cables and contacts.
Safety instructions for servicing:
Repairs on the system components may only be carried out by
authorised specialists. The system components correspond with the
relevant safety regulations.
Maintenance of the VDO Ocean Line Combi
The display instrument is maintenance-free. Use a damp, antistatic
cloth to clean the indicator. Do not use detergents.
