CONTROL CAM
The looper
thread
control
cnm,
right
of the
looper
thread take-up, serves for uniform feeding of the
thread
and
prevents the
thread
from being
wound
up when breaking.
Center the control cam (A, Fig. 22 A)
exactly
in
the slots of the comb (B, Fig. 22 A) which
is
mounted on the cast-off
support
plate. Set the
cast-off
support plate
assembly w
ith the
comb
as low as
possible and
make sure
that
take-up
respectively control cam
and
cast-off
support
plate do
not
interfere.
The control cam is set correctly, when
the
radius
(C, Fig. 22 B) on the
cam
is approx. 2 - 2, 5 mm
(. 080 - . 10 in.) in front of the looper
thread
(D,
Fig. 22 B)
at
the moment when the thread 1s cast -
off at the looper thread take-up(refertoparagraph
"SETTING THE LOOPER THREAD
TAKE-UP",
page 10 catalogs No. 282
and
No. 292).
When sewing
with
texturized thread (Helanca etc.)
it is recommended, to reduce the distance be-
tween the
radius
(C, Fig. 22 B) on the
cam
and the
thread
to
1, 5 mm (. 060 in.) to accommodate the
elasticity of the looper thread.

Fadenaufnehmerplatte. Setzen Sie die komplette
Aufnehmerplatte
mit
dem Kamm so tief
w1e
mog-
lich, ohne dal3 sich Fadenaufnehmer bzw.Kurven-
sche1be und Aufnehmerplatte beruhren.
Die Kurvenscheibe isl richtig eingestellt, wenn
der Radius (C, Fig. 22 B) an der Kurvensche1be
etwa 2 - 2, 5 mm vor dem Greiferfaden (D,Fig.22 B)
steht und zwar zu dem Zeitpunkt
an
dem der Faden
am Greiferfadenaufnehmer abspringt (siehe Ab-
schnitt "EINSTELLUNG DES FADENAUFNEHMERS",
Seite 10 der Kataloge Nr. 282 und Nr. 292).
Beim Nlihen mit Bauschgarn (Helanca usw.) ist
es
zweckm!l13ig, zur Anpassung an d
t
e ElastiziUH des
Greiferfadens,denAbstand vom Radius (C,Fig. 22 B)
an der Kurvenscheibe bis zum Faden auf 1, 5 mm
zu verringern.
