i
Wheel data is entered in accordance with the
selected balancing program.
For wheel balancing, this must be characterised by
entering the following parameters:
$
Distance: it is the distance of the first balancing
plane from the machine.
$
Diameter: it is the nominal diameter indicated on
the rim.
$
Width: it is the distance between the 2 balancing
planes.
!
Position of the balancing planes depends on the
program selected.
Measuring rim distance, diameter and width
automatically
1. Position the electronic calliper gauge for rim
distance and diameter in correspondence of the first
balancing plane and keep it in this position for one
second.
i
An acoustic signal sounds to indicate that the
position has been registered.
2. Next, without bringing the electronic calliper gauge
to home position, position it in correspondence
of the second balancing plane and keep it in this
position for one second.
i
Storage of the position is confirmed by an acoustic
signal and the position data are displayed.

3. To complete the measurement, bring the calliper
gauge to stand-by position.
"
The individual values have now been read in and are
displayed on the monitor.
i
If electronic rim distance and diameter measurement
is not possible, wheel data can also be entered
manually.
Measuring rim distance and diameter manually
i
To manually enter the rim data, you must deactivate
the automatic gauges.
i
To activate/deactivate the gauges, see chap.
"Machine settings".
!
The procedure for distance and for diameter is the
same as for standard programs. The difference is in
measuring the width.
Measuring rim width manually
i
To manually enter the rim data, you must deactivate
the automatic gauges.
i
To activate/deactivate the gauges, see chap.
"Machine settings".
With the weights positioning gauge in balancing
programs Alu2, Alu3 and Pax2 it is possible to measure
the width of the rim, easily position and fix the
adhesive weights.
