lf the gears are too tight they will bind and if they are too loose
they will strip out. When satisfied with the alignment, tighten
the four hex screws on the bottom of the chassis. With the
wheels off the ground, you should be able to spin the clutch
bell with your finger. The clutch bell should rotate the spur
gears and other drivetrain components rather easily.
q. Troubleshooting guide
This troubleshooting guide has been provided to help you
diagnose and solve most problems that you may encounter
with your
CARSON CNB Buggy. Most problems encountered can be
solved by carefully following the problem-cause-solution
sections.
Problem
If you're having a problem with the radio system:
Radio system does not
operate
Operating range is short
Servos do not operate
normally
When engine is running,
radio system operates
erratically
Cause
1. Transmitter and/or receiver batteries are low
2. Batteries are installed incorrectly
3. Receiver battery connector is loose
1. Transmitter antenna is retracted
2. Receiver antenna is not extended
3. Receiver antenna is cut
4. Transmitter and/or receiver batteries are low
1. Transmitter and/or receiver batteries are low
2. Servo gear stripped or otherwise damaged
1. Receiver crystal is loose
2. Receiver battery connector is loose
3. Damage to receiver after a crash
lf it's difficult to rotate the clutch bell, your gear mesh is likely
too tight. Readjust the gear mesh, making sure to use a piece
of notebook paper between the gears. When set properly, the
paper should be tightly crinkled, but not ripped or punctured.

Solution
Replace transmitter and/or receiver batteries
Check that the polarity of the batteries is cor-
rect
Check that receiver battery connector is
plugged in and tight
Extended transmitter antenna completely
Extend receiver antenna completely
Return receiver to Hitec/RCD for repair
Replace transmitter and/or receiver batteries
Replace transmitter and/or receiver batteries
Replace with new gear set
Remove and reinstall the receiver crystal
Check that receiver battery connector is tight
Return to Hitec/RCD for repair
