Maintenance / cleaning

Maintenance

Servicing is required if the raclette grill has been damaged or if liquids or objects have
penetrated the housing, if the raclette grill has been exposed to rain or moisture or if it
does not work properly or has been dropped. If smoke is produced, or there are any
unusual sounds or smells, switch off the raclette grill immediately and remove the mains
plug from the mains socket. In such cases, the raclette grill must not be used until it has
been inspected by authorised service personnel. Only have qualified personnel carry out
the servicing on the device. Never open the housing of the raclette grill.

Cleaning

DANGER! Remove the mains plug from the socket before cleaning as there is a risk of an
electric shock!
Wait until the raclette grill has cooled down completely. Otherwise, there is a risk of
burns! Please note that the cooling of the stone plate (2) may take up to 30 minutes.
DANGER! The raclette grill must not be immersed in water as there is a risk of an electric
shock!
After the device has cooled, do not wait too long before you start to clean it. You thus
prevent leftovers from getting stuck to the grill and becoming difficult to remove
afterwards.
Cleaning the grill base (7)
To clean the grill base (7), use a damp cloth and never use any solvent or cleaner that would
corrode the plastic. Use some water with washing-up liquid if necessary.
Rinse with clear water, then dry the grill base (7) thoroughly and use the device again only when it
is completely dry.
Cleaning the grill plate (1), stone plate (2) and accessories
Remove the grill plate (1) and stone plate (2) upwards from the grill base (7). The plates are simply
placed on top of it.
The grill plate (1), stone plate (2), raclette pans (8) and wooden spatulas (9) can be cleaned by
hand in a basin of warm water and washing-up liquid. For more stubborn dirt, leave the parts in
warm water for 20 to 30 minutes to soak the leftovers. Never use corrosive, abrasive or scouring
cleaning agents.
Never put the stone plate (2) into the washing-up water if it has not cooled completely. It
could shatter.
