6.5 Cooling phase/Switching off

The heating can be switched off at any time by pressing and holding the adjuster knob (2).
During the cooling phase, the fans (4) continue running for a little time until the temperature drops below around 100 °C. Do not switch
the main switch (7) off until this point.
During the cooling phase "hot" flashes on the display (1). This indicates the residual temperature in the grill compartment (12) is still hot.
At the same time, "OFF" is shown on the display (3) to indicate that the heating is switched off.
The fans (4) stop when the temperature drops below about 100 °C. After a little time, the displays (1, 3) go out and the grill is in
standby mode. This is indicated by an illuminated dot on the left-hand display (1).
Switch the grill off at the main switch (7) if it is no longer required.
If you have finished grilling, clean the grill as described in Chapter "7.2 Cleaning".

7. Maintenance/cleaning

7.1 Maintenance

Regularly remove dust from the fan inlet on the back of the grill using, for example, a brush or a vacuum cleaner. There are no other parts on the
grill which require maintenance.

7.2 Cleaning

DANGER! Hot surfaces! The grill gets very hot when in use. Always allow the grill to cool
completely before cleaning.
Do not use aggressive detergents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles or other metallic objects for cleaning, such as knives,
scrapers or wire wool. This could damage the surface of the grill.
Before cleaning the grill, switch it off and disconnect the mains plug.
Never immerse the grill in water for cleaning.
Proceed as follows to clean the grill:
Remove the grill tray (11) and grease collection tray (10). Make sure that any liquids in the grease collection tray (10) do not spill out or
grill residues fall out.
Remove the grill tray holders (13) by lifting them out of the cut-outs in the side of the grill compartment (12).
Clean the grill tray (11), grease collection tray (10), grill tray holders (13) and handle (9) in hot water with normal washing-up liquid or in
the dishwasher.
Below are more details on cleaning the grill, starting with the outside and moving on to the inside.
Cleaning the outside
Clean the outer surfaces of the grill with a slightly damp, soft cloth and conventional washing-up liquid. Make sure that no moisture can get
into the inside of the device through the fan intakes.
Cleaning the inside
The inside of the grill can be cleaned with water and conventional washing-up liquid. You can use scouring cream for stubborn dirt.
Use a conventional pan sponge to release crusted-on dirt. Do not use brushes with metal or nylon bristles.
Normal oven cleaner can also be used to clean the inside, especially burnt-on dirt.

7.3 Storage when not in use

Clean the grill as described in Chapter "7.2 Cleaning".
Wind the power cable (8) in the direction shown around the cable tidy (5) on the back of the grill.
Always allow the grill to dry completely before storing, and store in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of the reach of
children.
