7) The channel volume "Fader" and the functions "Solo" and "Mute"
can be adjusted on the screen in this view: To set the value to 0 dB,
tap the value underneath "Fader" twice� To be able to operate the
volume setting via the control knob (10), the mute function via
the key MUTE (12) and the Solo function via the key SOLO (11),
press the key SENDS once again so that it is no longer illuminated�

5.2.1.2 Setting the sum channel
1) Use the control knob (13) to set the volume of the stereo sum� The
LED ring around the knob will indicate the current setting�
The LED VU meters (7) will always show the level of the sum signal
after the "Fader" (13)�
2) The key MUTE underneath the knob is used to mute the stereo
sum channel� The key will be illuminated to indicate muting� To
unmute, press the key once again�
Note: The key SENDS (8) must not be illuminated (press the key if required)�
3) To monitor the sum signal via headphones, press the key SOLO to
send the signal to the Solo bus� It will, however, be automatically
sent to the Solo bus if the Solo function has not been selected for
any other channel (
 chapter 5�1�4)�
4) For additional settings of the sum channel, call up the stereo sum
view (fig� 7)� To do this, press the control knob (13)�

The channel strip for the stereo sum is displayed on the right� It
contains the following information (from top to bottom):
– analog outputs assigned, e� g� "OUT 7&8" (
– insert effects used, e� g� Mod 1, Rev 2 or GEQ 1 (
INSERT will be displayed if no effect has been assigned to the
insert point
– miniature curve of the parametric equalizer (

– all input channels and signal buses that have been assigned to
the stereo sum, including the signal part adjusted (fader)
– channel name (

5) To adjust the stereo balance of the sum signal or to adjust a signal

delay, tap the lowermost section of the channel strip� The view
shown in fig� 8 will be displayed�
6) To change the stereo balance, tap the field underneath BAL�
The field will have a yellow frame� Use the control ADJUST (9) to
adjust the ratio between the left stereo channel and the right
stereo channel� To make it easier to reset the setting to the centre
position "50|50", tap the display field twice�
7) To adjust a signal delay, tap the control displayed in the field
"Delay"� Use the control ADJUST to adjust the corresponding delay
value and tap IN to activate or deactivate the delay�
Note: The unit of measurement (ms, ft, m) for all delay settings can be selected
in the setup menu (
8) When all settings have been made, tap �� to close the window
