len. Die Masseanschlüsse der Plattenspieler
mit der Klemmschraube GND (27) verbinden.
2) Ein DJ-Mikrofon an die symmetrische 6,3-mm-
Klinkenbuchse DJ MIC (13) anschließen.
3) Den Eingang des Verstärkers an einen der bei-
den Masterausgänge (30) anschließen: entwe-
der an den symmetrischen XLR-Ausgang oder
an den asymmetrischen Cinch-Ausgang.
4) Ist eine Monitoranlage vorhanden, den Verstär-
ker der Monitoranlage an den Ausgang BOOTH
(31) anschließen.
5) Sollen Tonaufnahmen gemacht werden, das Auf-
nahmegerät an den Record-Ausgang REC (32)
anschließen. Der Aufnahmepegel ist unabhängig
von der Stellung des Masterreglers (15).
6) Über einen Stereo-Kopfhörer kann sowohl der
Pre Fader-Pegel der Kanäle 1 und 2 sowie das
laufende Musikprogramm vor dem Masterregler
(15) abgehört werden (für nähere Informationen
zur Vorhörfunktion siehe Kap. 5.4). Den Kopfhö-
rer (Impedanz ≥ 2 x 8 Ω) an die 6,3-mm-Klinken-
buchse PHONES (25) anschließen.
7) Zuletzt das Netzgerät mit der dreipoligen Buchse
(29) für die Stromversorgung verbinden und in
eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
5 Bedienung
Vor dem Einschalten die Ausgangsregler MASTER
(15) und BOOTH (16) auf Minimum stellen, um starke
Einschaltgeräusche zu vermeiden. Dann das Misch-
pult mit dem Schalter POWER (28) einschalten. An-
schließend die angeschlossenen Geräte einschalten.
Nach dem Betrieb das Mischpult wieder mit dem
Schalter POWER ausschalten. Wird es längere Zeit

- Turntables with magnetic system to the jacks
PHONO/CD (33); in this case set the selector
switch (26) of the respective channel to posi-
tion "PH". Connect the ground connections of
the turntables to the terminal screw GND (27).
2) Connect a DJ microphone to the balanced 6.3 mm
jack DJ MIC (13).
3) Connect the input of the amplifier to one of the
two master outputs (30): either to the balanced
XLR output or to the unbalanced phono output.
4) If a monitoring system is used, connect the am-
plifier of the monitoring system to the output
BOOTH (31).
5) If sound recordings are to be made, connect the
recording unit to the record output REC (32). The
recording level is independent of the position of
the master control (15).
6) Stereo headphones allow to monitor both the pre-
fader level of channels 1 and 2 and the currently
playing music programme ahead of the master
control (15). (Detailed information concerning the
pre-fader listening facility can be found in chap-
ter 5.4.) Connect the headphones (impedance ≥
2 x 8 Ω) to the 6.3 mm jack PHONES (25).
7) Finally connect the power supply unit to the 3-pole
jack (29) for the power supply and to a mains
socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
5 Setting the Mixer into Operation
Prior to switching on, set the output controls MASTER
(15) and BOOTH (16) to minimum to prevent loud
switching noise. Switch on the mixer with the POWER
switch (28). Then switch on the connected units.
After operation, switch off the mixer with the
POWER switch. If the mixer is not used for a longer
period, disconnect the power supply unit from the
mains socket as it has a low current consumption
even with the mixer switched off.

5.1 Grundeinstellung der Eingangskanäle

Damit der Masterpegel auf dem VU-Meter (10)
abgelesen werden kann, darf die Umschalttaste (24)
des VU-Meters nicht gedrückt sein (rote Anzeige
MASTER links neben der Taste leuchtet): Das VU-
Meter zeigt dann den Stereo-Ausgangspegel an, der
an den Masterausgängen (30) zur Verfügung steht.
5.1.1 Stereo-Kanäle 1 und 2
Zum optimalen Aussteuern der Kanäle 1 und 2 die
Gain-Regler (1), Klangregler (14) und Balanceregler
(5) zunächst in die Mittelposition stellen, und für den
Crossfader (12) folgende Grundeinstellungen vor-
nehmen: Den Regler CURVE (6) ganz nach links auf
Position „N" drehen. Die Reverse-Taste (20) darf
nicht gedrückt sein; bei nicht gedrückter Taste leuch-
tet die Reverse-LED (11) grün. (Nähere Informatio-
nen zu den Crossfadereinstellungen siehe Kap. 5.2.)
1) Mit den Eingangsumschaltern (7 und 21) die an-
geschlossenen Signalquellen anwählen:

5.1 Basic adjustment of the input channels
The master control (15) adjusts the overall level of
all connected audio sources. Set the control to

To read the master level on the VU meter (10),
the selector switch (24) of the VU meter must not be
pressed (red MASTER LED on the left of the button
lights up): The VU meter then indicates the stereo
output level available at the master outputs (30).
5.1.1 Stereo channels 1 and 2
For optimum level control of channels 1 and 2, first
set the gain controls (1), the equalizer controls (14),
and the balance controls (5) to mid-position, then
make the following basic adjustments for the cross-
fader (12): Turn the control CURVE (6) to the left
stop to position "N". The reverse button (20) must not
be pressed; if the button is not pressed, the reverse
LED (11) shows green. (Detailed information con-
cerning the crossfader adjustments can be found in
chapter 5.2.)
1) Select the connected signal sources with the
input selector switches (7 and 21):
for channel 1:
to select the unit at the input PHONO/CD, tilt the
switch upwards to the right
to select the unit at the input LINE, tilt the switch
downwards to the left
for channel 2:
to select the unit at the input PHONO/CD, tilt the
switch upwards to the left
to select the unit at the input LINE, tilt the switch
downwards to the right
Note: The two factory-set switch positions can be
changed, if required. For this purpose, see chap-
ter 6 "Changing the Position of the Input Selector
Switches".
2) For level control of channel 1, slide the cross-
fader (12) to the left stop.
3) Feed the audio signals (music pieces or test sig-
nals) to channel 1 and control the level of the
channel by means of the VU meter with the fader
(9).

den durch Aufleuchten der roten LEDs angezeigt.
4) Der Fader sollte nach der Pegeleinstellung auf

oder sehr weit aufgezogenem Fader muß der Pe-
gel durch Regulierung der Eingangsverstärkung
angepaßt werden: Den GAIN-Regler (1) des Ka-
nals entsprechend zurück- bzw. aufdrehen.
Die Eingangsverstärkung läßt sich durch An-
zeige des Pre Fader-Pegels optimal einstellen.
Dazu das VU-Meter durch Drücken der Taste
(24) in den PFL-Anzeigemodus umschalten (grü-
ne Anzeige PFL rechts neben der Taste leuchtet),
und den Überblendregler (19) für die PFL-Funk-
tion in die Mittelposition stellen. Das VU-Meter
zeigt dann den Signalpegel von Kanal 1 (linke
LED-Reihe) und Kanal 2 (rechte LED-Reihe) vor
dem jeweiligen Kanalfader an.
5) Das VU-Meter durch Lösen der Taste (24) wieder
auf Anzeige des Masterpegels schalten, und mit
den drei Klangreglern (14) das gewünschte Klang-
bild einstellen: Die Höhen (HIGH), Mitten (MID)
und Tiefen (BASS) lassen sich bis max. 15 dB
anheben bzw. bis max. 30 dB stark absenken.
Stehen die Regler in Mittelstellung, findet keine
Frequenzgangbeeinflussung statt.
Hinweis: Klangeinstellungen wirken sich auf den
Pegel aus. Deshalb nach einer Klangregulierung
den Kanalpegel anhand der Pegelanzeige kon-
trollieren und ggf. korrigieren.
6) Mit dem Schalter CURVE (8) die gewünschte
Fadercharakteristik für Kanal 1 einstellen: Dämp-
fung 6 dB, 20 dB oder 30 dB.
Bei der Schalterstellung „30 dB" wird das Si-
gnal vom Fader (9) am weichsten ein- und ausge-
blendet (langsamer Pegelanstieg bzw. -abfall). Je

advanced very little or very far, the level must be
matched by regulating the input amplification:
Turn up or turn back the GAIN control (1) of the
channel correspondingly.
The input amplification can be controlled in an
optimum way by indicating the pre-fader level.
For this purpose, switch the VU meter to the PFL
indicating mode by pressing the button (24)
[green LED PFL on the right of the button lights
up], and set the crossfader (19) for the PFL facil-
ity to mid-position. The VU meter then indicates
the signal level of channel 1 (left LED row) and
channel 2 (right LED row) ahead of the respec-
tive channel fader.
5) Switch back the VU meter to indicate the master
level by releasing the button (24) and adjust the
desired sound with the three equalizer controls
(14): The high frequencies (HIGH), midrange fre-
quencies (MID), and low frequencies (BASS) can
be boosted to max. 15 dB or substantially attenu-
ated to max. 30 dB. With the controls in mid-posi-
tion, the frequency response is not affected.
Note: Sound adjustments affect the level. There-
fore, after adjusting the sound, check the channel
level by means of the level indication and correct
it, if required.
6) Adjust the desired fader characteristic for chan-
nel 1 with the switch CURVE (8): attenuation
6 dB, 20 dB, or 30 dB.
With the switch position "30 dB", the signal is
faded in and out most softly via the fader (9)
(slow increase or decrease in level). The lower
the dB value, the more abrupt the level increase
when advancing the fader or the level decrease
when sliding back the fader; consequently fading
in/fading out seems harder (also see the channel
fader curve for the three switch positions on
page 9, fig. 4).
