7 System Configuration

7.1 Resetting the mixer to the factory settings

The mixer can be reset to its factory settings if required� All settings
made by the user will be lost� Therefore, to preserve your own settings,
make a backup of the corresponding scenes to an external USB storage
device (
 chapter 5�8) or export all settings (
resetting� After resetting, the exported settings can be imported into
the mixer again�
1) Press the key SETUP (4) to call up the setup menu�
2) Tap the button "Setup" on the left to call up the view for various
system settings (fig� 26)�
3) Under "System", tap the button "Maintenance"� A view with
various system functions will appear�
4) To reset the mixer to the factory settings, tap the button "Factory
Reset"� Confirm the security prompt with "Factory Reset" or cancel
with "Cancel"�
The mixer will switch off and restart with the factory settings�

7.2 Setting the date and the time

A correct time setting is important for the management of scenes�
To set the current time:
1) Press the key SETUP (4) to call up the setup menu�
2) Tap the button "Setup" on the left to call up the view for various
system settings (fig� 26):
3) Under "System", tap the button "Maintenance"� A view with
various system functions will appear�
4) Tap the button "Time Settings"� The view for setting the time will
appear�
5) Make the settings and confirm with "Save"�
6) Press the key BACK (4) to exit the setup maintenance submenu�

7.3 Changing the unit of measurement for signal delay

For signal delay (DELAY), enter either the delay time (ms) or alterna-
tively the distance (m or ft), e� g� the distance between two speakers
or microphones� The delay time will be automatically calculated from
this value (speed of sound: 343 m / s)�
To change the unit of measurement:
1) Press the key SETUP (4) to call up the setup menu�
2) Tap the button "Setup" on the left to call up the view for various

7.4 Changing the sampling rate for the digital outputs
The default sampling rate of 48 kHz for the digital outputs can be
changed to 44�1 kHz�
To change the sampling rate:
1) Press the key SETUP (4) to call up the setup menu�
2) Tap the button "Setup" on the left to call up the view for various
system settings�
3) Under "Sample Rate", tap the corresponding sampling rate
(fig� 33)� A message will appear to inform you that the setting will
only be valid for the digital outputs� Confirm with "Yes"�
4) To exit the setup menu, press the key SETUP�

7.5 Changing the brightness

7.6 Key lock
Monitor
A key lock can be activated to prevent unintentional operation� To
activate the key lock, briefly press the key
dark and all other keys will no longer respond� To deactivate the key
lock, press the key
A password can be defined in the submenu "Setup ➾ System
Maintenance" so that the key lock can only be deactivated when this
password has been entered:
1) Press the key SETUP (4) to call up the setup menu�
2) Tap the button "Setup" on the left to call up the view for various
system settings (fig� 26)�
3) Under "System", tap the button "Maintenance"� A view with
various system functions will appear�
4) Activate the option "Password" (ON)� A message will appear warn-
ing you that you will have to enter the password to deactivate
the lock�
5) Use the keyboard appearing on the screen to enter a password
and make sure to remember it!
6) Tap "OK" to confirm or "Cancel"�
7) Press the key BACK (4) to exit the setup maintenance submenu�
