Eliminating minor faults yourself
Before you call customer service:
Please check whether you can eliminate the fault yourself based on the following information. Customer service
will charge you for advice - even if the appliance is still under guarantee!

not been inserted properly.
Appliance door opened frequently.
Large amounts of fresh food have
been put away.
The ventilation openings have been
covered.
Temperature has been set too low.
The bulb is defective.
Light switch is sticking.
Strongly smelling food is not
sealed.
Possible cause
Ice maker is not connected to the
mains supply.
Ice maker does not contain any
fresh water.
The freezer space temperature
is too high.
The appliance or ice maker has
only just been switched on.
A lot of ice has been taken.
Low water pressure.
The water filter is bunged up
or used.
The appliance is not supplied with
water.
Water supply has kinks.
Remedial action
Check whether the power is on. The appliance
must be switched on. Check whether the
mains plug is secure.
Do not open the door unnecessarily.
Activate fast cool and/or fast freeze.
Remove obstructions and dirt.
Select a warmer temperature
(see Setting the temperature").
Replace bulb (see Changing light bulbs").
Check whether it can be moved.
Cleaning the appliance. Seal strongly smelling
food (see Odours").
Remedial action
Call customer service.
Ensure that the water is properly connected.
If it is, call the customer service.
Check the freezer space temperature.
Reduce it where necessary.
Approx. 24 hours is needed until ice
production starts.
Approx. 24 hours is needed until the ice cube
container is filled again.
The water pressure must be between 1.72 bar
and 8.25 bar so that the appliance works
properly.
Change the water filter.
Switch the ice maker on at the control panel.
Contact the installer or the water supply
company.
Turn off the water supply at the shut off tap.
Smoothen out the kinks, exchange where
necessary.
