Description
The Papadopoulos Posterior Cervical Spine (P.C.S.)
Support (REF A-1073) is designed for anterior cervical
spine surgery and instrumentation. The instrument
supports the cervical spine in an anatomic position and
allows easy access for the surgeon and radiologic imaging
equipment.
The P.C.S. Support is made of a radiolucent material and
is adjustable in three planes: anterior-posterior, rostral-
caudal, and medial-lateral.
NOTE:
The P.C.S. Support is used in conjunction with the
MAYFIELD® Base Unit (REF A-2001).
Replacement Pad (REF 4-1-A-1443) for the P.C.S. Support is
available if desired.
CAUTION:
Do not hyperextend the neck when positioning
with this or any similar device.

Do not alter the design of the device in part or
whole as serious patient injury could result.
Inspection
Always inspect instruments before and after use. If a
component appears damaged and/or does not seem to
function properly, do not use the device and immediately
send the instrument to an authorized Integra repair center
for evaluation, repair or replacement. Allow your Integra
Representative to inspect this device a minimum of two
times per year to assist you in its proper function.
Instructions for Use
Mount the P.C.S. Support to the operating room table

a. Loosen the hold down screws on each of the Support
posts by turning counter-clockwise.
b. Slide the two rods of the MAYFIELD Base Unit into
each receptacle of the P.C.S. Support before inserting

into the operating room table's receptacles (Figure
2). Adjust the width of the P.C.S. Support posts as
necessary.

NOTE:
The plungers should point outward.
c. Lock the handles on the operating room table
securing the Base Unit. After adjusting the P.C.S.
Support, lock the hold down screws by turning
clockwise.
