CHAPTER 2 - INSTALLATION

This chapter contains all the instruc-
tions required to correctly assemble the
machine.
2-1 ASSEMBLING THE SUP-
PORT
1) Insert horizontal racked tube (A) into
support (B).
2) Fit articulated collared group (M)
to the end of tube (A) and tighten
clamping screw (N).
3) Insert knob (C) into the lift-adjust-
ing handwheel.

2-2 PLACING AND FASTENING
THE SUPPORT ON THE
WORKSTAND
Before carrying out the fastening, it is
advisable to consider the dimensions
of the machine when assembled, as
shown in the figure on page 17. One
should consider the space required for
working, which depends on the way the
Feed unit will be used, so as to find the
best position for the support base. Page
18 and the following illustrate the dif-
ferent uses and provide a few exam-
ples of optimum positioning of the Feed
unit.
As to the distance between the holes
in the workstand, refer to the figure on
this page.
It is necessary to bore four 14-mm
clearance holes through the machine
bench. For the fastening, use M12
bolts with matching washers and nuts.
Calculate the lenght of the bolts so that
they can come out from the machine
bench for a greater length than that
one of the washers with the nuts.
Should it not be possible to bore clear-
ance holes, drill four blind holes with a
10.2 bit and thread with an M12 tap to
a depth of at least 35 mm. Then fasten
with M12 bolts 50-55 mm in length.
