PC-Interface

The Rugged 2 can be connected to a USB port of a
Personal Computer or communicate wireless via a
Bluetooth connection. The connection enables the
exchange of colour standards and colour values as
well as device parameters.
The password for the Bluetooth connection is "1234"
Using the ColorLite ColorDaTra Professional PC-
Software it is possible to remotely trigger single
measurements, but also automatically trigger in a
variable period.
This quality control database program allows the user
to visualise, store and create reports of the measured
colour data.

Trouble shooting

The Rugged 2 is manufactured using the latest
components and state of the art technology.
A Manipulation inside the device by the user is not
needed.
Do not open the device and or the probe head.
Opening the housing can damaged visual and
mechanically sensitive components.
An unauthorised opening of the device or probe head
or will make all warranty and warranty claims against
the ColorLite GmbH invalid.

Problem
The device cannot be
switched on. The display

Solution
Reload the rechargeable battery
Colour standards can be
stored with or without the
remission data. To store with
remission spectrum switch on
in the "Settings" window "Save
spectrum"
Check the cable connection.
Check that COM-port settings are correct.
When the device is connected via USB the
port should be listed. Also if the Bluetooth
driver has been correctly installed the
device serial no. should be visible.
Check that a valid license key has
been installed in Color-DaTra (menu:
spectrophotometer – license overview)
correct and not contaminated.
Check the probe head opening for
contamination and clean if necessary with
dry and oil free compressed air.
If this does not help please contact the
ColorLite GmbH or your local distributor.
