The ColorLite Rugged 2 spectrophotometer has been
designed using latest electronic and optical components. It
is characterized by the highest quality and complies with all
relevant norms and standards.

Safety issues for the device
• The device must not be in explosion hazardous areas.
• Do not look directly into the probe head when measuring
because of the risk of dazzling.
• Do not open or disassemble the device.
• Avoid excessive temperature changes.
• The instrument may be used only in accordance with the
specifi ed protection class (IP code).

Specifi ed use
The Rugged 2 is a portable device with a fi xed
measuring head.
With the device colour values are determined by
spectral measurement of the refl ected light from the
surface of an object or material. The LED light source is
integrated in the sensor head. The sensor head can be
manufactured and delivered as required, in diff erent IP
protection classes.
