Basic functions

4.1

Internal rechargeable battery

The Rugged 2 is equipped with a rechargeable high-
performance lithium ionen battery.
4.2

Recharging the battery

Connect the device to the power supply using the
supplied USB cable and plug it into the socket. When
charging, a red battery symbol lights up in the lower
left corner of the unit. When fully charged, the light
changes to green.
Charge the battery before using the frist time. Charge the battery before using the frist time.
You can also plug the USB cable into any USB port
(e.g., computer) to charge the device.
You have the possibility to continue using the device
during charging.
As a further alternative, the battery can also be
removed and charged with an external charger.

4.3 Switching on
Press the "Trigger button" to switch the device on. After
a short welcome window is displayed before the main
menu opens. The Rugged 2 is now fully operational and
measurements can be made.
4.4 Switching off
By double pressing the "Left" key in the main menu the
device is switched off

Screen saver

If after a period of 5 minutes no keys are pressed the
device automatically dims the display. The selected device automatically dims the display. The selected
function remains unchanged. By pressing the
the full brightness of the display is restored.
