4.11 SIDE SKIDS (fi g.26)
Adjust the position of the side skids and roller until the knives
project from the surface formed by the two skids themselves
This will prevent the knives from digging into the soil even
on irregular ground.
ATTENTION
All maintenance work, adjustments and preparation for
operation, must be carried out with the power take-off of
the tractor disconnected, the machine on the ground on
its supporting feet, the tractor not running, the wheels
blocked and the key turned off.
4.12 OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES
4.12.1 FRONT WHEELS (ONLY FOR FRONT HITCH)
The machine is supplied with a pair of front wheels (fi g.27),
these wheels are used to adjust the working height and to
achieve a more even cut on irregular ground.
Front wheels can be adjusted in three different positions (A-
B-C fi g.28), according to the desired working height.
4.12.2 FRONT FLOATING SPRINGS KIT (ONLY FOR FRONT
HITCH) (fi g.29)
This kit should be used only in case of installation of the
machine in front to the tractor.
Thanks to this kit, it is possible to transfer part of the weight
of the machine on the front wheels of the tractor.
It is perfect on uneven terrain, providing excellent road
holding and an even cut. (Fig.30).
4.12.3 FRONT LIGHTS KIT (ONLY FOR FRONT HITCH)
When the dimensions of carried or partially-carried
equipment conceal the tractor's signalling and lighting de-
vices, these must also be installed on the equipment itself,
in conformity with regulations of the highway code of the
country involved. When in operation make sure that the
lighting system is in perfect working order. The transport on
the road must be done with light (1 fi g.31) turned off. The
orientation of the light (2 fi g.31) must be done in conformity
with regulations of the highway code of the country involved.
