Use the batteries supplied for the following operating modes:
• Scale is used on a mobile basis
• External interfaces (e.g. WiFi, USB) are not present or are deactivated
NOTE
If you want to use the USB port or the WiFi interface (variant-depen-
dent), the power consumption of the device rises significantly. In these
cases, operate the device with the power supply unit provided.
1. Open the battery compartment.
2. Place the batteries in the battery compartment.
NOTE
Ensure the correct polarity of the batteries (markings on the battery
holder). If the display
teries the wrong way round or the batteries have discharged. If batter-
ies are inserted the wrong way round, they must be removed again
immediately.
3. Close the battery compartment.
Use the power supply unit provided (variant-dependent) for the following
operating modes:
• Scale is used on a stationary basis
• External interfaces (e.g. WiFi, USB) are active

The power supply unit is available as an accessory for variants without
a WiFi interface.

Personal injury or damage to the device as a result of incorrect power
supply units
Conventional power supply units may deliver a higher voltage than is
indicated on them. The scale may overheat, catch fire, melt or short-
circuit.

Use only original seca power supply units with controlled 12 V out-
put voltage.
1. Plug the device connector required for your power supply into the power
supply unit.
2. Plug the power supply connector of the power supply unit into the con-
necting socket of the scale.
3. Plug the power supply unit into a power supply socket.
