Shut-down/dismantling

Once the pumping process has been completed and the pump is no longer required,
remove the pump.

During operation

CAUTION
Do not allow the pump to dry run!
Do not run the pump without fluid (dry run). Switch off the pump once the resid-
ual water level has been reached. Dry running may destroy the seal and cause the
pump to be irreparably damaged.
Stationary installation
For stationary installations, check the following once per quarter:
▪ Inlet quantity corresponds to the pump delivery rate.
▪ Float switch is operating correctly.
▪ Connection cable is not damaged.
Portable installation
The following points must be observed during use:
▪ Pressure hose must be free of deposits.
▪ Strainer must be free of deposits and encrustations.
▪ Connection cable must not become damaged.
8 Shut-down/dismantling
8.1

Shut-down

If the pump is decommissioned, it is to be deactivated but should remain installed.
This ensures that the pump is always ready for operation.

2. Pump with float switch: When the switch-on level is reached: pump starts.
Pump without float switch: pump starts immediately!
3. Pump with float switch: the pump will run until it reaches the switch-off level:
pump stops.
Pump without float switch: pump will run until the power supply is interrupted!
Protect the pump from frost and ice:
- Completely immerse the pump in the fluid.
- Min. ambient temperature: +3 °C (+37 °F)
Fluid must remain liquid and must not ice over:
- Min. fluid temperature: +3 °C (+37 °F)
1. Switch off the pump.
Pull the plug and switch off of the main switch.
