Operation

Pump with plug without float switch
The pump will switch on immediately after the plug has been inserted into the socket.
The pump will run until the plug is removed from the socket.
Pump with plug and float switch
The pump will switch on and off automatically on reaching the switching level.
Pump without a plug
The pump is switched on and off using a separate control. Read the installation and
operating instructions for the control unit for further details.

Commissioning after stationary installation

For commissioning after stationary installation, carry out a test run with three pump-
ing processes. Check the switching points during the test run.

Installation and electrical connection have been carried out as specified.
Commissioning elements have been checked.
1. Activate the pump.
Plug in the plug and activate the main switch.
2. Open all gate valves in the pressure pipe.
3. Flood the pump chamber: Open the inlet.
The incoming water must not come into contact with any other parts of the
pump. Air pockets may impair the function of the pump.
NOTICE! A different water source may be used to provide the inlet quantity
required for the test run.
4. When the switch-on level is reached: pump starts (See "Installation/Installation
dimensions" chapter).
5. The pump will run until it reaches the switch-off level: pump stops (See "Install-
ation/Installation dimensions" chapter).
6. Repeat to carry out two more pumping processes.
