Instructions for Operation
7.
7.1
Avoid direct incident radiation onto the receiver and the target from directional light sources, such as reflector
lamps or sunlight.
This also applies to changing light reflections and backgrounds (windows, lamps, persons, etc.).
7.2
All objects in the beam path create a shadow.
Avoid dust deposits in the measurement channel (receiver and light source) particularly on the target.
If possible, use the horizontal measurement arrangement.
7.3
A periodically cleaning of the protective housings is recommended.
In a dusty environment blow off the receiver and the laser continuously with cleaned (free of dust and oil)
compressed air using a commercially available nozzle.
Dry cleaning
This requires a suitable optical antistatic brush or blow off the panels with dehumidified, clean and oil free
compressed air.
Wet cleaning
Use a clean, soft, lint-free cloth or lens cleaning paper and pure alcohol (isopropanol) for cleaning the protec-
tive housing.
Do not use commercial glass cleaner or other cleansing agents.
