7. Maintenance
CAUTION!

Before carrying out any maintenance, switch off the instrument and disconnect
mains supply.
• Check once a year the calibra on of your instrument. Frequency of recalibra on depends on the
use of the instrument and the ambient condi ons. However, we suggest recalibra on every year.
• Check that all holes and inserts of the instrument are cleaned. Any liquid or oil inside the well
can make oxides or verdigris on the insert during the use at high temperature. In this case the
insert may become stuck.
• Clean the instrument only when it is cold (equal to ambient temperature).
• Clean the instrument with a damp cloth, never use solvents.
• Pay a en on that no liquid may penetrate the instrument, this cause damage or create
poisonous fumes.
8. Faults
• The temperature calibrator does not work when the power cable is connected and the main
switch is turned on.
CAUSE: The fuse (3) is cut off, the power cable is cut off, the main switch is faulty.
SOLUTION: Replace the fuses, replace the power cable, replace the cup socket (1-3).
• The fuses (3) are triggered when the power cable is connected and main switch is turned on.
CAUSE: The fuse is wrong.
SOLUTION: Check the value of the uses.
• The control panel is working properly but the temperature does not increase and the instrument
shows „Err" on the display.
CAUSE: The hea ng resistances or the pel er elements are faulty.
SOLUTION: Send back the instrument to your supplier for repair.
• The display indicates a different temperature from the one measured in the block.
CAUSE: The internal probe ist not calibrated or faulty.
SOLUTION: Recalibrate the internal probe (see appendix B), if problem s ll remains, send back
the instrument.
• The temperature does not stop at the value of the set point.
CAUSE: The thermoregulator (6) is faulty.
SOLUTION: Send back the instrument to your supplier for repair.
• The temperature does not increase or decrease to the set value as quickly as it should.
CAUSE: hea ng resistances resp. pel er elements are faulty.
SOLUTION: Send back the instrument to your supplier for repair.
• The display indicates 810 or 786.
CAUSE: The internal temperature probe is faulty.
SOLUTION: Send back the instrument to your supplier for repair.
