6.7 Opera on

1. Switch on the instrument with the main switch (2) and wait for the
end of the self-test procedure. Then the 2nd. line of the display shows
„ Stby " (standby). Press any key to access the set point adjustment.
2. Insert the probe (your unit under test) into suitable holes of the
equalizer block (refer to chapter 4 - Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3)
3. Enter the required temperature set point at the thermoregulator:

4. Wait for the stability of the temperature before star ng
any calibra on. The flashing of the „Stability LED" in the
top right corner of the display shows that the instrument
internal temperature is stable.
5. For a further temperature set point adjust the new
set point as described above and again wait for
stabilisa on.
6. Go on in this way, un l all required temperature set
points for your calibra on by means of comparison are
executed.
7. Before extrac ng the thermometer probes, set a temperature set point very closed to the
ambient temperature and wait un l the instrument did cool down it's block and the probe(s).
Never remove the probe(s) at the end of the calibra on if it is s ll at high temperature.
Always allow the temperature calibrator to cool down with the probes s ll inserted
in order to avoid thermal shock to the probes and harm to operator, other personnel
or objects.
Before returning the instrument to it's case or bag make sure that the temperature
of the block is almost the same as the ambient temperature.
For cooling down the instrument as fast as possible, you may adjust the temperature set point
temporary to 0°C.
