CLEANING

5.1 Cleaning/Sterilisation of the handles
Procedure
Solaris 2 Treatment Light
CAUTION
The handles are not sterilised in the factory and must therefore be disinfected or
sterilised, if necessary, prior to using them for the first time.
To disinfect the surfaces, only use cleaners which are listed in the ULTRADENT
cleaning and care instructions.
To disinfect the surfaces, follow the instructions of the manufacturer.
Do not use any of the following substances:
­ Scouring agents
­ Cleaning agents with trichloroethylene, with benzine, oil or turpentine­based or
similar substances
CAUTION
To clean thoroughly, sterilise the handles in an autoclave.
Do not clean the handles in an ultrasonic bath.
REFERENCE
With standard cycles, the handles can be sterilised a maximum of 200 times at
121 °C to 134 °C.
Step Procedure
1 Loosen the screw (2) on the handle (3) and pull the handle off the
light head (1).
2 Sterilise the handles in an autoclave in accordance with the instruc­
tions.
3 After sterilisation, attach the handle on the light head again with the
screw.
