2 | SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
Do not spray cleaning agents or disinfectant directly on the light head.
To disinfect the surfaces, only use cleaning agents which are listed in the
ULTRADENT cleaning and care instructions.
To disinfect the surfaces, follow the instructions of the manufacturer.
To clean the plastic parts of the treatment light, do not use cleaning agents or
disinfectants containing the following substances:
­ Ammonium hydroxide
­ Sodium hydroxide
­ Methylene chloride
­ Methyl alcohol
­ Trichloroethylene
­ Benzol
­ Turpentine
­ Scouring agents
Failing to adhere properly to the regulations can have the following consequences:
­ risk of breakage of plastic parts
­ risk of loosening of the joint connections and, hence, the risk of the spring or
swivel arm lowering.
If in doubt, contact the customer service staff of your dealer.
CAUTION
Do not insert any objects or tools in the slits of the light head as there is a danger
of touching points that are live.
CAUTION
The safety­related checks to be carried out for appliances in dental surgeries must
be carried out in accordance with the applicable provisions and regulations.
2.3 Warning of LED radiance
WARNING
The LEDs used correspond to Class 2.
LED power 56 mW
Wavelength 400 to 700 nm
Radiation in the visible range.
Danger of impairment of the vision due to artificial optical radiation.
Direct irradiation of the eye by LED light sources can cause temporary
impairments, but also lasting damage.
Patients at risk (e.g. with eye disorders) must not look into the light beam. Suitable
protective and precautionary measures must be taken.
Patients at risk (e.g. for children or adults with eye disorders or if they use
photosensitive substances) must not fix their gaze on the light beam of the
treatment light. Instruct these patients at risk not to stare into the light beam.
