The Solaris 2 treatment light is used for illuminating the oral cavity of the patient
during dental treatment. The light head (9) is freely movable via the swivel arm (5,
10) or spring arm (11) and light support (7) with angle joints and allows the light
beam to be positioned in accordance with the requirements of the user.
The light source consists of two LEDs whose light is guided to the reflectors (1)
through two secondary lenses. The heatsink (2) ensures adequate dissipation of
the heat that occurs at the light source. The surface of the reflectors generates a
regular and uniform light beam at all brightness levels. This distributes the light
evenly over the field of treatment without shadows or dark areas being created by
the operator. The reflectors (1) are provided with a cover (4).
The luminosity (dimming) is switched on/off and controlled using the mechanical
control lever (8) on the light support (7). If a minimum or maximum is reached while
dimming the luminosity, different beep tones sound.
In addition, the treatment light is also indirectly controlled via the functions of the
treatment unit, e.g.:
▪ Automatic switch­off at the rinsing position/exit position
▪ Automatic switch­on at the treatment position
▪ Switch­on and switch­off using the joystick on the dental chair
The Solaris 2 treatment light has two handles (6) which can be detached for
sterilisation.
