The Solaris 2 treatment light is used for illuminating the oral cavity of the patient
during dental operations. Any use above and beyond this is deemed to be incorrect
usage.
For correct, risk­free and proper use of the Solaris 2 treatment light, it is necessary
to be aware of and heed the respective corresponding safety regulations and
instructions. For this reason, you must read this chapter carefully prior to
commissioning the Solaris 2 treatment light. It is essential to heed the warnings
and instructions mentioned here.
CAUTION
The light beam of the treatment light can cause the premature curing of photo­
polymer dental material.
In such cases, it is recommended to use the "Polymerisation setting" of the
treatment light.
CAUTION
The high electromagnetic energy of electro­surgical appliances can affect other
medical appliances.
Check the manufacturer's instructions of such medical appliances with regard to
the distances that need to be maintained to other appliances.
CAUTION
The Solaris 2 treatment light is not suitable for environments with flammable gases.
CAUTION
The treatment light handles must be disinfected regularly and sterilised in an
autoclave prior to surgical treatment.
CAUTION
The arm constructed with joints as well as the joints on the light head allow correct
positioning of the light beam.
Do not overload cantilever arms and joints by exerting force on the end stops.
