Installing the reversing video system
Note
If the monitor angle has to be readjusted, unscrew the knurled
screws (fig. k 4 und 5, page 10).
After the adjustment of the monitor angle, screw the knurled screws
back in.
➤ Position the monitor and the attached monitor base for testing.
➤ Mark the outlines of the corners of the monitor base on the dashboard.
➤ Unscrew the monitor from the monitor base.
➤ Clean the chosen installation location before definitively mounting the
monitor base.
➤ Pull the red protective film off the monitor base.
➤ Press the monitor base firmly against the top of the dashboard.
Note:
If necessary, use 4 x 12 mm self-tapping screws to securely fasten
the monitor base to the dashboard.
If you want to secure the monitor base with self-tapping screws
(fig. l, page 10):
Caution!
Self-tapping screws may only be fastened to steel metal with a
minimum thickness of 1.5 mm.
➤ Hold the monitor base within the outlines marked beforehand and mark
three different drilling points (fig. l, page 10).
➤ Using a hammer and centre punch, gently pre-punch the previously
marked points to prevent the drill head from slipping off.
➤ Drill Ø 3.5 mm holes at the points you have just marked.
➤ Deburr all drill holes and apply rust-protection.
➤ Screw on the monitor base with the 4 x 12 mm self-tapping screws.
➤ Mount the monitor on the monitor base as described in section „Fasten
the monitor to the monitor base (fig. k, page 10)" on page 59.
